This Christmas season, Ghandour Cosmetics proudly supported HOPE for Little Lives, a non-governmental organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children in Ghana, for an impactful week-long initiative in Yendi, Northern Region.
The HOPE Train initiative brought free pediatric surgical surgeries, medical screening, health education, personal group, and STEM motivation to the community, culminating in a joyous Christmas party celebration.
Recognizing the vital role of hygiene in fostering health and well-being, the initiative combined practical education with the distribution of hygiene supplies, aiming to equip families with the tools and knowledge to adopt healthier practices.
In supporting this impactful initiative, Ghandour Cosmetics’, GC brand contributed bar soaps, hand sanitizers from the Kleanz product line, and roll-ons from the Style Up range to support hygiene education efforts. Speaking about the initiative, Tanal Ghandour, CEO of Ghandour Cosmetics, said, “Good personal hygiene is not only foundational to health but also empowers communities to thrive. Supporting HOPE for little lives allows us to deepen our commitment to enhancing lives through health, and sanitation, as well as supporting underprivileged children.”
The two health screenings in the community offered families an opportunity to assess the health status of their children, receive professional advice, and learn preventive health measures. Skilled surgeons from Accra also provided free surgeries to children, giving families much-needed relief and hope. Trained health professionals and volunteers conducted engaging sessions on hygiene best practices, such as proper handwashing, teeth brushing, the use of deodorants, and maintaining clean surroundings.
Commenting on Ghandour Cosmetic’s Sponsorship, the Executive Director Dr. Maame Tekyiwa Botchwaya from HOPE for Little Lives stated “This initiative reflects the power of collaboration and community care. Together with Ghandour Cosmetics, we have not only provided resources but also inspired a culture of health and hygiene in Yendi that we hope will continue long after we have left.
